Home Wildfire Defender was founded by James Young in the wake of the catastrophic Los Angeles fires this last January, 2025 where over 16,000 homes were lost and the city burned for over a month, leaving thousands of residents, many of them under insured, without a home and embarking on a years long battle to reestablish their lives. The fact is that what happened in LA could happen here in the Bay Area. The other fact is it didn't have to happen this way, be so catastrophic.

Certified by the National Fire Prevention Association as a Wildfire Mitigation Specialist and partnered with licensed contractors, James is available to inspect your property, provide you with strategies to harden your property against wildfire and execute the work quickly and economically. He is also available to facilitate your home selling process by getting your property compliant pre-listing, completing required seller disclosures and generally streamlining the home sales process.
